NEW YORK — New York's online grocer FreshDirect celebrated Passover 2008 by offering a variety of kosher Passover prepared meals.

Each meal included an entree, matzoh ball soup, four side dishes and a dessert.

Prices ranged from $89.99 for a farm-raised lemon-dill salmon entree, which served four to six, to $199.99 for a filet of beef with mushroom sauce, which served 10 to 12, with a choice of four sides and one dessert.

The meals complement FreshDirect's lengthy kosher assortment of packaged foods, which range from Hebrew National mustard to Ba-Tampte pickles. There's also plenty of kosher fish, deli meats, bakery, frozen, dairy and wine. The store also offers several kosher private labels, including the FreshDirect brand of handcrafted dark chocolate.

FreshDirect sells only Rubashkin's Aaron's Best-certified glatt steaks, roasts, cutlets and chops. The Queens-based company produces all meats under the supervision of a rabbi and the Orthodox Union.
