CHICAGO -- Ameritech here has acquired a minority stake in Peapod, the supermarket home shopping service. The acquisition includes exclusive rights to develop a version of the service for interactive television.
rs can order groceries from participating retailers by phone, fax or personal computer, and have them delivered by Peapod staff.
