In a statement, AMI President and Chief Executive Officer J. Patrick Boyle said, "This strategic alliance between our industries provides the opportunity for phenomenal international trade show growth. Officials said the dairy and meat shows, while located in the same facility, would retain separate identities and trade show floors.
The event is scheduled for Oct. 30 through Nov. 2, 1997, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Officials said they expect the dual events to attract 25,000 to 30,000 attendees representing both industries.
