AMI PROMOTES RILEY TO SENIOR POST

WASHINGTON -- The American Meat Institute announced that Janet Riley, a 12-year veteran of the organization, will become senior vice president of public affairs and professional development. She previously had served as AMI's vice president of public affairs from 1998 to 2003. From 1991 to 1998, she served as AMI's director of public affairs. The change will add educational programming to Riley's portfolio at the association, which currently includes media relations, graphic design, news reporting and animal welfare policy and training programs. In addition, she will assume total responsibility for the production of all of the association's printed materials.
