Since introducing its frequent shopper program last fall, average transactions rose from about $16.50 per order to about $18, he said. Initially the increase was larger, but has leveled off somewhat.

Melchionda said a new interactive kiosk installed last month has been well-received by shoppers. Club members swipe their card to check their status in the program and see if they have incentives coming.
