ROSEMONT, Ill. -- The Baby Faire consumer show held here last weekend, Nov. 6-7, sponsored by Babies 'R' Us, featured supermarket-drug chain, Jewel-Osco, Melrose Park, Ill., as associate sponsor. It was held at the Rosemont Convention Center and attracted about 125 exhibitors.
The next Baby Faire is scheduled for Nov. 13-14 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Ga. About the same number of exhibitors are expected, but exhibitors can still join, according to Tammy Vetter, production assistant with Baby Faire, based in Winchester, Mass.
Jewel-Osco had a large exhibit, bringing in many of the chain's vendors and products. Ross Products, a division of Abbott Laboratories, also exhibits with Jewel to promote its baby formulas. The consumer show is open to the public. General admission is $7, but children and grandparents are admitted free.
