NAPLES, Fla. -- At the invitation of the American Health and Beauty Aids Institute, about 120 suppliers, distributors and retailers of ethnic health and beauty care products gathered July 18-20 in this Gulf Coast city to discuss consumer trends, the role of point-of-sale information in marketing strategies and the problem of out-of-stocks, among other issues. In between, attendees squeezed in golf and fishing tournaments and an evening on the Naples Royal Princess cruise ship. The conference, titled "Info 2000," was the 14th such event sponsored by the Chicago-based AHBAI.
