GOLDEN, Colo. (FNS) -- In a push to capture diet-conscious consumers, financially troubled Boston Market began a nationwide television advertising campaign recently touting the fresh meals operator's low-fat menu choices. This is the first time the company has promoted its low-fat entrees and side dishes from coast to coast.

"Customers give us high marks for our great tasting food," said Keith Robinson, chief marketing officer. "But they don't realize that nearly one fourth of the menu is low in fat. People want low-fat options. We want to make sure they know Boston Market has them."

Both the 15-second and 30-second TV spots highlight Boston Market's rotisserie roasted turkey breast with just one fat gram per serving.

Also mentioned are Boston Market's "mouth-watering low-fat side dishes that include whole kernel corn, fresh fruit salad, steamed vegetables and garlic dill new potatoes." Other low-fat menu items include a variety of Boston Carver sandwiches that can be requested without cheese or sauce; one-quarter white chicken without skin or wing; cranberry relish and butternut squash.

The ads are running through August 9 in major markets and on cable.
