Pace from Pace Foods, San Antonio, and Old El Paso from Old El Paso Food Co., Anthony, account for about 43% of the $628.9 million sales in supermarkets throughout the United States. Hunt-Wesson's Rosarita trails in distant 10th place nationally, but is a strong third in Phoenix, where Brand Marketing checked prices at three local supermarkets. For a 16-ounce jar of medium salsa, Smith's had the lowest prices for two of three brands, Safeway had the highest for two and tied as highest for the third, and Bashas' was in the middle.
