Pot pie in the Big Easy is a business of two-fers, three-fers, four-fers and five-fers. Winn-Dixie, the self-proclaimed low-price leader in town, was edged out of the title in this category by Delchamps on the day Brand Marketing checked prices at three supermarkets. What helped Delchamps was its TPRs on private label and the share leader, Swanson from Campbell Soup Co. The grocer's pricing was lowest by one cent on private label, which ranks sixth in dollar share nationally, but third in New Orleans. Winn-Dixie had the most multiple pricings with Banquet at 5/$3, private label at 2/$1, and Swanson at 4/$3. Winn-Dixie had the highest unit price, 75 cents for Swanson, and shared the lowest honors with Schwegmann at 60 cents for Banquet from ConAgra Frozen Foods.
