Wegman also said Anheuser-Busch has raised more than $300 million, in conjunction with wholesalers, to discourage alcohol abuse by minors and to curb drunk driving. In addition, the company has since 1988 distributed water to victims of misfortunes, including nearly 100,000 cases in 1999; and it has also increased its commitment to the environment by recycling 30% more aluminum containers than it produces.

Wegman said Busch is also strongly committed to direct-store delivery and to servicing shelves and is "a champion" at sharing information related to category management.
