SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. -- Steven Harper, director of research and development and quality assurance at Cascadian Farm here has been named by Secretary of Agriculture Daniel Glickman to the National Organic Standards Board.
The NOSB was created through the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 to advise the Secretary of Agriculture on implementation of a national organic certification program. Cascadian Farm's Gene Kahn, founder and chief executive officer, and Craig Weakly, vice president of Argiculture, have also served on NOSB.
