VERONA, N.J. -- Celentano, a manufacturer of all-natural frozen Italian foods, has launched a full line of fresh, never-frozen entrees and side dishes for the supermarket deli.

The line of entrees has now been increased to 25, and 18 side dishes have been added. The full line of products made its debut at the Food Marketing Institute's MealSolutions show and conference in Phoenix last week.

The 8-ounce side dishes include such comfort foods as baked beans and mashed potatoes, as well as more trendy offerings like honey-dill carrots and lemon rice. The items are packed in 8-ounce microwavable containers. The suggested retail is $2.99, based on a 40% gross margin, said the company.

The entrees include chicken marsala, meat loaf, fried chicken, Salisbury steak and Tuscan beef stew, as well as sausage and peppers and several pasta-based Italian favorites. The entrees weigh 9 ounces or 10 ounces -- except for fried chicken, which is 14.5 ounces -- and have a suggested retail of $3.29 to $3.99.
