MONTVALE, N.J. -- Christian Haub has been elevated to chief executive officer of A&P here, the company was expected to announce last week. The change marks the first full transition in the company's CEO ranks in 18 years. For the past year Haub, 33, has been president and co-chief executive, sharing the CEO role with James Wood, 68, the chain's chairman, who has been CEO since 1980. Wood now retires as CEO -- relinquishing the day-to-day management role -- but remains as chairman. ...
