ST. LOUIS (FNS) -- Services were held here last week for Clarence Y. Shaul, executive director of the Mid-America Grocers Association.
Shaul died June 22 of heart disease at St. Mary's Health Center here. He was 59. Shaul had headed the group, comprised mostly of independent supermarket owners, since the mid-1980s. Mid-America Grocers was formerly known as the Metropolitan Retail Food Dealers Association.
