The origin of Save-A-Lot was incorrectly stated in the Oct. 3 issue of Supermarket News. The Save-A-Lot limited-assortment store format was launched by the former General Grocer Co. of St. Louis in 1977. Wetterau, Hazelwood, Mo., acquired the Save-A-Lot group of stores in 1987 from Save-A-Lot management.
