SHELTON, Conn. -- Country Home Bakers, a manufacturer of frozen-dough products for supermarket in-store bakeries, broke its own record with a 915 superior rating at its Atlanta facility when the American Institute of Baking, Manhattan, Kan., conducted its most recent inspection there. It's the 13th consecutive superior-range rating Country Home has received at its Atlanta plant, making it the first such plant in the United States to attain that rating for seven consecutive years, company officials said. AIB inspections are conducted twice a year, and Country Home jumped up five points from the rating it received last fall. The Atlanta facility makes cookies, biscuits, breads and rolls for Country Home and its food-service division, Readi-Bake.
