The promotion, which centers around a 5 a Day for Better Health theme, will feature prizes for consumers, including a five-carat diamond, a five-day family trip to Orlando, Fla., and a five-hour phone card.

Del Monte is running an in-ad coupon during the promotion period that offers consumers one free pound of Del Monte bananas with the purchase of two pounds of Del Monte bananas and one can of any Del Monte fruit, vegetable or tomato product.
Del Monte is also running a retailer contest, with trips and cash prizes for creative displays.
To pariticpate, retailers must agree to a four-week supply of Del Monte bananas and commit to a front-end display.
