WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. -- Approximately 2,500 Denver-area employees of Albertson's, Boise, Idaho, are scheduled to vote over the next two weeks on a proposed five-year contract with United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 7, based here, a union spokesman told SN last week.

The contracts for the three chains cover approximately 20,000 retail clerks and meatcutters. Both the union spokesman and representatives of Albertson's declined to discuss any details of the proposed agreement.
