COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The board of directors of the General Merchandise Distributors Council here has announced a switch in the dates of its two major conferences. Starting next year, the GMDC's General Merchandise Conference, which in the past was held each fall, will be held in May. The Health and Beauty Care Marketing Conference, in turn, will be moved from May to the fall.
