OKLAHOMA CITY -- Doskocil Cos. here has completed its acquisition of the frozen specialty foods division of Multifoods Corp., Riverside, Calif.

Brands acquired with the purchase of the division include Fred's, Rotanelli, Posada and Little Juan's. They include appetizers, finger foods and some entrees distributed primarily to traditional food-service outlets. Doskocil plans to extend the market for the products to supermarket delis, a spokesman for the company said.
Doskocil's other products primarily have been processed meats marketed to food-service and retail stores.
