eorge) Tanaka has been named to succeed Osamu (Sam) Inoue as president of Fuji Photo Film USA. Inoue will become senior managing director, general manager of corporate planning office, Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd., in Tokyo.

Tanaka has a 35-year history with Fujifilm and has been executive vice president of the company and a member of the board of directors of Fuji Photo Film Co. since 1995.

He will oversee a company that has experienced tremendous growth in the United States during Inoue's years with the company. As a result, Fujifilm has established several product facilities in Greenwood, S.C., including a 35mm film production facility. The company now has six manufacturuing facilities in Greenwood, representing an investment of more than $1 billion.

The transition takes place late this month.
