Supermarket Exec Joins MARC
ckman, a former marketing executive at both Randalls Food Markets, Houston, and Marsh Supermarkets here, has joined MARC Promotion here as senior vice president and general manager for relationship marketing.
Heckman had been vice president of marketing at Randalls, where he planned and directed a $40 million annual budget for consumer research, analysis, marketing and advertising. The frequent-shopper program he launched for the retailer currently has three million card holders.
Heckman also held several management positions at Marsh between 1981 and 1997. As director of market research, he directed the retailer's frequent-shopper program and Internet marketing.
