Cos. here has named Gina Ventre director of technology support, a new position.
Ventre, who most recently served as manager of technology support, oversees implementation of store electronic equipment and software applications. She reports directly to Dick Baird, senior vice president of technical services.
Ventre also manages the technology trainers and staff providing ongoing business support in areas such as cash control and productivity. Most recently she's been directing the design, development and implementation of Stop & Shop's customer service effort.
The chain operates 184 stores in New England and was recently acquired by Ahold, Zaandam, Netherlands.
