Harris Teeter Adds VP Post
ris Teeter here has named Larry Nivens vice president of nonperishables merchandising.
In the new position, Nivens is responsible for all dry-grocery procurement and category marketing at the 138-store chain. He reports directly to Joe George, senior vice president.
Nivens was director of nonperishables. With Harris Teeter since 1970, he is a former director of perishable products and has held positions in store management, real estate and finance. He also has served as a buyer and has managed the meat merchandising area.
