Dorado has been appointed vice president of engineering for Big V/ShopRite Supermarkets here. In addition to managing all maintenance functions for the chain, Dorado is also responsible for the retailer's capital expenditure program, which includes new-store construction, remodels and development of new concepts.
Dorado joined Big V 11 years ago as construction project manager, and was named director of construction/engineering four years ago.
The retailer operates 32 stores in New York's Hudson Valley, northeastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey, and is a member of the retailer-owned cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., Elizabeth, N.J.
