MANCHESTER, N.H. -- AG New England, the regional wholesale grocery distributor, has named Russell Sbrizza deli/bakery category manager. Sbrizza, who has extensive experience in the food brokerage business, served as a broker representative to AG New England previously, the company said. He reports to Rick Wheeler, director of perishable merchandising for AG New England. In his new position, Sbrizza will be responsible for managing all aspects of the categories, including sourcing and merchandising. Sbrizza replaces Dave Grout, who left the company for a position with a food brokerage. AG New England, owned entirely by independent retailers, is the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in New England. The company serves Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and the upstate New York/Albany area.
