SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion has named Gaelo de la Fuente vice president of meat/seafood merchandising. He replaces Bill Arnold, who has left the company.
l solutions. His successor in that post has not yet been named. Prior to joining Food Lion, de la Fuente had been with Food Lion's sister company, Scarborough, Maine-based Hannaford Bros. for eight years, where he most recently served as director of deli/prepared foods.
In his new post, de la Fuente reports to Cathy Green, senior vice president, fresh merchandising, distribution and quality assurance. Food Lion operates 1,200 stores.
