TWO MARKETING VICE PRESIDENTS LEAVE WAL-MART

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Julie Roehm, senior vice president of marketing communications of Wal-Mart Stores, left the company last week after less than a year on the job, according to company spokeswoman Mona Williams. Roehm was named to this newly created position last January, and was responsible for the overall development and execution of advertising strategies, creative services and special events. Prior to that, she had been director of marketing communications for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. Sean Womack, vice president of communications architecture, has also left the company.

AG SEATTLE TAPS NUMATA TO SUCCEED DUNN AS CFO

SEATTLE — Associated Grocers here has named Steve Numata chief financial officer, reporting to John Runyan, president and chief executive officer. Numata assumes the role of CFO from Ned Dunn, who held that title since August. Dunn will continue in his role as an AG board member and chairman of the audit committee. Numata is responsible for budgeting, financial accounting and reporting, real estate and retail accounting, banking and credit relations with third parties, retailer financial and business consulting, and business analysis and planning. Most recently, Numata was the executive vice president, CFO and a member of the board of directors of Secor International, Redmond, Wash., an investment and consulting engineering firm.

FEALING NAMED TO NEW SECURITIES POST AT SUPERVALU

MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu here has named Burt Fealing to the new position of vice president, corporate secretary and chief securities counsel, effective Jan. 2, 2007. Fealing, who will report to Dave Boehnen, executive vice president, will oversee securities and corporate governance issues. Fealing most recently was assistant general counsel, finance and securities for Verizon Communications, New York.
