SPARTAN ELEVATES EIDSON TO COO IN REORGANIZATION
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spartan Stores here last week said it has named Dennis Eidson to the newly created post of executive vice president and chief operating officer. He had been executive vice president of marketing and merchandising. The new structure “integrates oversight responsibility for enterprise-wide marketing and merchandising, and retail operations under a single position,” the company said. Also, Alan Hartline, formerly vice president of center store merchandising, was named to the newly created position of senior vice president, corporate merchandising, overseeing merchandising strategies for the company's retail and distribution divisions. Brian Haaraoja was named to succeed Hartline as vice president of center store merchandising.
C&S HIRES FORMER YUM! BRANDS EXECUTIVE AS CFO
KEENE, N.H. — C&S Wholesale Grocers here said that Chris Kreidler has joined the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He reports to Rick Cohen, chief executive officer. Kreidler comes to C&S from YUM! Brands — parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, among others — where he had served as senior vice president, corporate strategy/treasurer.
