O-Cedar Adds Financial Officer
r Brands here has named Michael J. Doty to the new position of chief financial officer.
Doty, who reports to Mike Paxton, chief executive officer, was a vice president and chief financial officer with New Jersey-based White Systems, a provider of materials-handling solutions.
Doty helped refocus White Systems' customer service, quality enhancement and delivery of margins, "areas O-Cedar considers top priorities," according to Paxton.
Homeland Names Director
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Homeland Stores here has named Mike Meyer to the new post of director of general merchandise and health and beauty care. He is responsible for overseeing marketing and merchandising for HBC and general merchandise for the chain.
Before joining Homeland, Meyer was a grocery category adviser in Fleming Cos. Oklahoma division here. He reports to Steve Mason, vice president of sales and merchandising.
Robinson Appointed at Big Y
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Big Y Foods here has chosen Matthew J. Robinson as its new health and beauty care and general merchandise merchandiser/trainer. Robinson has held various positions in the Big Y chain, including dairy and frozen-food manager and grocery manager. He reports to Janice Winn, director of HBC and general merchandise.
