C&S Adds Category Manager
S Wholesale Grocers here has named Carol Cherington to the new position of category manager for bakery and deli products.
With the company since 1988, Cherington most recently had the title of senior bakery buyer. She continues to have the responsibilities associated with that position, in addition to her new duties. Prior to joining C&S, Cherington was production manager for Vermont Bread Co., also based here. In her new post, Cherington reports to Jack King, vice president for meat, dairy, deli and bakery. C&S Wholesale Grocers, a privately held company, supplies supermarkets on the East Coast.
Spunkmeyer Names President
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- Otis Spunkmeyer here has named John S. Schiavo president and chief operating officer.
He succeeds Kenneth Rawlings, who has relinquished those titles but remains chairman of the company. In his new position, Schiavo handles the daily operations of the privately held company. He reports to Rawlings.
