Skinner Baking Promotes Keaton

OMAHA, Neb. -- The James Skinner Baking Co., a manufacturer of high-end, fully baked, frozen Danish dough products, has promoted Audie Keaton, director of operations, to vice president of operations, a post that had been vacant for more than two years.

Keaton, with the company seven years, planned and implemented the transfer of manufacturing operations from the former 28,000-square-foot facility two and a half miles away to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art, 75,000-square-foot plant here. The new site will enable the company to triple its production capacity, officials said.

In his new post, Keaton reports directly to Lyn Juric, president.

Skinner Baking produces a variety of Danish pastries and coffee cakes for thaw and sell. With national distribution to supermarket in-store bakeries, the company numbers among its accounts Winn-Dixie Stores, Jacksonville, Fla., and several divisions of Kroger Co., Cincinnati. It also does some co-packing for major baking companies represented in the frozen food aisle.
