Associated N.E. Splits Duties
ated Grocers of New England here has split its retail services and customer support functions into two separate positions.
Tim Sweeney has been named director of customer service and sales support, a new position. He handles all customer-service activities.
Bob Bancroft, formerly a retail counselor, has been named director of retail services. In the new slot, he is responsible for all retail sales development, with the production and increase of sales to new and current accounts his top priority.
Sweeney previously had directed both retail services and customer service/sales support. Both he and Bancroft report to Richard Ennis, executive vice president.
Aspey Tapped By Super Food
BRIDGEPORT, Mich. -- Mark Apsey has been appointed assistant merchandising manager at the Michigan division here of Super Food Services, Miamisburg, Ohio.
Besides his new duties, Apsey retains his previous responsibilities as frozen food and dairy merchandiser. He succeeds Jim Gohsman, who was named director of merchandising. Apsey reports to Gohsman.
Certified Adds Lutz to Staff
LOS ANGELES -- Robert Lutz has been named director of merchandising, a new post, at Certified Grocers of California here.
Lutz is in charge of the company's southern California grocery, deli, frozen food and private-brand purchasing departments. He reports to Donald Hawks, vice president of marketing and procurement.
Lutz joined Certified from Weis Markets, Sunbury, Pa., where he was vice president of grocery merchandising.
