Ingles Names Bakery Director
ngles Markets here has named Tim Davey director of bakery operations, a position that had been vacant for nearly a year.
He joins the company from Kash n' Karry Food Stores, Tampa, Fla., where he was director of deli/bakery sales and procurement. Davey takes over the bakery responsibilities that had been handled on an interim basis by Phillip Grasso, director of deli operations. In a related move, Grasso's title has been changed to vice president of deli/food service operations.
Both Davey and Grasso report to Landy Laney, president of the 175-unit chain.
Manager Appointed at Buttrey
GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- Buttrey Food & Drug has named Ed Yuhas manager of bakery merchandising. He was bakery/deli retail merchandiser. He succeeds Ron Slusher, who has left the company after more than 20 years. Yuhas, who joined Buttrey 22 years ago, will continue to have his former responsibilities as bakery/deli merchandiser. The company is not currently seeking a successor for that position. In his new post, he reports to Lou Rizzo, vice president of sales and marketing for the 38-unit chain.
