Pepsi-Cola Adds VP Position
ola Co. here has named Arthur S. Brown to the new position of vice president of food stores. Brown is responsible for helping drive company efforts in food store sales, category management initiatives and Efficient Consumer Response strategies. Brown reports to Jim Nolan, chief customer officer.
Brown joins Pepsi from James River Corp., Norwalk, Conn., where he was vice president of sales and customer business centers. He also has held positions with E.J. Brach Corp. and Procter & Gamble.
Foster's Names Americas VP
RESTON, Va. -- Foster's Brewing Group here has named Peter D. Reaske vice president of Foster's Americas. Reaske now manages the Australian company's commercial activities in the United States.
His responsibilities in this new position include trademark growth of the Foster's beer brand through its established and growing list of partners in the Americas. Foster's is among the top 10 imports in the United States, and has experienced double-digit sales growth for each of the past five years. It is also a growing brand in South America.
Reaske joins Foster's from Molson Breweries U.S.A., where he was director of Allied Brands.
Royal Crown Taps Marketer
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Royal Crown Co. here has named Jimmy Verrett to the new position of director of marketing.
Verrett, who was marketing manager for Brand RC, which includes RC Cola, Diet RC and Cherry RC, will continue to focus on the core cola products and food channel marketing. This change is intended to bring greater integration of the brands to channel specific marketing. Prior to joining Royal Crown in 1995, Verrett was manager of marketing and creative services for Barq's, New Orleans.

Genesee Appoints President
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Genesee Brewing Co. here has named Charles S. "Chipp" Wehle president. He is the grandson of Louis A. Wehle, who founded the company in 1932. Chipp Wehle succeeds his brother, John L. Wehle Jr., who will continue as chief executive officer and chairman.
Chipp Wehle joined the company in 1968 and held key positions in production, sales and marketing before being named vice president of marketing administration in 1988.
The company's brands include Genesee, Genesee Light, Genny Cream Ale, Koch's Golden Anniversary Beer, Michael Shea's, JW Dundee's Honey Brown Lager and HighFalls India Pale Ale.
