Harris Teeter Appoints DiCarlo
Teeter here has named Gianfranco DiCarlo director of bakery-deli-food service, a new position.
With the company since 1992, he was most recently director of food service. Prior to joining the chain, which has 140 units, DiCarlo was a restaurant consultant based in New York City, where his clients included specialty retailers Balducci's and Grace's Marketplace.
In his new post, he reports to Joe George, senior vice president of merchandising.
Cakes 2 U Names Marketing VP
ATLANTA -- Cakes 2 U, an FTD-type cake delivery service here that sources cakes from in-store bakeries, has named Hugh Reid vice president of marketing, a new position.
Reid was with Hazelwood Farms Bakeries, Hazelwood, Mo. He reports to Arthur Schultz, Cakes 2 U's president and founder.
