The combined company is called Sobeys Canada Inc. It elected a new board of directors last week: David Sobey, Donald Sobey, Paul Sobey, John Sobey, Douglas Stewart, Robert Dexter and John Bragg. Sobeys Canada will have combined annual sales of about $6.5 billion ($10 billion Canadian).

Nash Finch Fills Slot on Board

MINNEAPOLIS -- Nash Finch Co. here said William R. Voss has been elected to a vacant position on the board of directors.

Voss, 45, is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Natural Nutrition Group, a Chicago-based manufacturer of natural and organic food products, which sell primarily under the Health Valley and Breadshop labels. The company also produces private-label products.

Voss fills the seat formerly held by Don E. Marsh, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Marsh Supermarkets, Indianapolis, who resigned in May "for business reasons," Nash Finch officials said. The company said Voss' terms will expire in May.
