Rosson named New Marketing VP at Bi-Lo
old USA-owned company, said Steve Rosson was named executive vice president of marketing. In this position, he will be responsible for all aspects of merchandising, marketing, category management, customer card marketing and advertising for the chain. Prior to joining Bi-Lo, Rosson was executive vice president of marketing for Marsh Supermarkets, Indianapolis. Before that, he held a variety of positions with Harris Teeter, Land-O-Sun Dairies and Rich Foods.
Giant Food Appoints Boyd Regional VP, Operations
LANDOVER, Md. -- Giant Food here said Marla Boyd was promoted to regional vice president for store operations. She will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of strategic plans for stores in the southern region's store division: Virginia, Washington and suburban Maryland. She succeeds Stephen Neal, who was promoted to senior vice president of store operations in July 2002. Boyd most recently served as a district manager for Giant. Before that, she was involved in a special project as director of category management before returning to operations. Prior to her involvement with the project, she served in a variety of positions in management and at store level.
Winn-Dixie Names White to new Operations Post
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores here last week said Larry White was named director of operations services, a newly created position. White will report to John Sheehan, senior vice president, operations. Prior to his appointment, White served as director of store reengineering for Randalls Food Markets, Houston, now a division of Safeway. Before that, he served in a number of store-level positions, including store director. White started his career with Tom Thumb Food & Pharmacy, Dallas-Ft. Worth, which was later acquired by Randalls Food Markets.
