Associated Names New VP of IS
Marks has been appointed vice president of information services, a newly created position at Associated Grocers here.
He will continue to focus on data processing, business applications development and retail systems. Marks joined the company in 1988 and most recently served as chief information officer.
Fleming Fills VP of IT Slot
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fleming Cos. here has appointed Arlyn Larson as senior vice president of information technology in charge of systems, networks and hardware.
He most recently served as director of systems support group at Fleming, which he joined in 1994 after the Scrivner acquisition. The position is not a new one at Fleming but has been vacant for some time, the company said.
As senior VP of IT, Larson will work closely with the wholesaler's retail electronic services group. He reports directly to Harry Winn, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Homeland Names MIS Head
OKLAHOMA CITY -- David Lacaze has been promoted to director of management information systems at Homeland Stores here.
He succeeds Bill Rulla, who left the company. Lacaze joined Homeland in 1992 as senior programmer and most recently served as applications programming manager.
Supervalu Adds Marketing Post
MINNEAPOLIS -- Supervalu here has named Dan Saurer loyalty marketing manager, a newly created position at its Midwest division in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
