Sargento Appoints Several to New Posts
ere has named several executives in its sales and marketing staff to new posts.
Tony Schwister has been named vice president of retail sales. He is responsible for managing the sales force and broker network, local trade activities and store-level merchandising. Schwister had been division sales manager since joining Sargento in 1992.
Dick Williamson has been named vice president of international sales. He has been with the company since 1981 and was most recently vice president of sales for the food-service division.
Randy Winker has been named senior vice president of strategic business development. He will work with key customers on business building initiatives and will be active in Sargento's Efficient Consumer Response process. Winker, who joined the company in 1979, was most recently vice president of sales.
Scott Hackbarth has been named vice president of sales, special market development. He will evaluate and implement marketing opportunities in the nontraditional retail outlets. Hackbarth, who joined the company in 1978, was most recently national sales manager.
Sargento Foods is a national marketer of shredded, sliced, snack and specialty cheeses, ethnic sauces and Asian foods.
Durbin Names Two Operating Chiefs
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Marshall Durbin Cos. here has named two senior managers to vice president and chief operating officer posts as part of the company's restructuring.
Scott Varner has been named vice president and chief operating officer of Marshall Durbin Prepared Foods. Pat Cauley has been named vice president and chief operating officer of Marshall Durbin Broiler Co.
Both report to Marshall Durbin, chief executive officer.
The prepared foods company will be responsible for production and sales of all value-added cooked products. The broiler company will oversee breeders, hatcheries, feed mill, broiler production, processing and sales.
Varner has been with the company for 11 years, most recently as vice president of processing and sales. Cauley joined the company earlier this year.
Marshall Durbin Cos. is an integrated poultry producer, with facilities in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
