Consumers Appoints GM Director
llingsworth has been appointed director of general merchandise and health and beauty care, at Consumers Market here.
Ellingsworth succeeds Ron Leonard, vice president, general merchandise and HBC, who left the company. Ellingsworth was previously general merchandise supervisor at Fleming Cos.' General Merchandise Division, Topeka, Kan. He reports to Mike Valentine, vice president.
Scholastic Names Associate Director
NEW YORK -- Scholastic here has appointed Elizabeth Malafi as associate director of catalog and retail sales, a new position.
Reporting to Arlene Chernenko, executive director of special markets, Malafi will implement sales presentations to retail accounts.
Concord Camera Adds to Sales Team
AVENEL, N.J. -- Concord Camera here has added two new positions to its sales and marketing management team.
George Erfurt has been named managing director/general manager for the Americas. Erfurt will be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing operations in the Americas, including the United States, Canada and Panama. He previously was sales manager of national accounts. Leonard Easterbrook has been appointed to the new position of managing director/general manager for Europe. He will be responsible for all sales and marketing operations for Concord's European branches.
