Grand Union Adds Vice President Post
ere said Manny Moslemi has been named corporate vice president and chief information officer, a new position.
Moslemi was most recently corporate vice president in charge of information technology for Cub Foods, Stillwater, Minn., a division of Supervalu, Minneapolis.
From 1992 to 1995 he was vice president of information technology for American Stores Co., Salt Lake City, after seven years as vice president for management information systems for American's subsidiary, Jewel Food Stores, Melrose Park, Ill.
"Manny's 27 years of experience in management information technology, including more than 20 years in the retail food industry, and his depth of knowledge will be extremely important as we expand our investment in technology to increase efficiency and improve customer service." said Jack W. Partridge, vice chairman and chief administrative officer.
Moslemi reports to Jeffrey P. Freimark, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Farm Fresh Names VP/Information Chief
NORFOLK, Va. -- Farm Fresh here has appointed Ray Hamilton vice president and chief information officer, a new position.
Hamilton was chief technical officer for CTO Interact Systems in Norwalk, Conn., and previously spent 19 years in a variety of management positions with Albertson's, Boise, Idaho.
In his new post he is responsible for the strategic development of information systems and store technology. Hamilton reports to Ron Dennis, president and chief operating officer of the 43-unit chain.
