CIES, The Food Business Forum, Paris, has named Roland Fahlin its new chairman. Fahlin is president and chief executive officer of Sweden's retail group ICA. Fahlin, who will serve for two years, succeeds Feargal Quinn, CEO of Irish retailer Superquinn. Topco Associates, Skokie, Ill., has named Nancy Line assistant controller. Line, who was a supervising senior auditor at KPMG, reports to Deborah Byers, controller.

Furr's Supermarkets, Albuquerque, N.M., has appointed Steve Stork vice president of finance/controller. Stork was vice president for accounting at Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif., a division of Kroger Co., Cincinnati.

The Food Institute, Elmwood Park, N.J., has elected Donna George, vice president for category management at A&P, Montvale, N.J., and John Weber, executive vice president of Nichols-Dezenhall, a Washington communications firm, as trustees. Established in 1928, the Food Institute is a non-profit food-trade research and information association with membership in more than 40 countries.
