Supervalu Names Merchandising VP
as been named corporate vice president of wholesale merchandising at Supervalu here. He reports to Jeff Noddle, corporate executive vice president, and president and chief operating officer of wholesale foods.
Dake was corporate vice president for category management. In his new post, he succeeds George Chirtea, who retired at the end of February.
Fred Meyer Adds Executive VP
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Tony Schnug has been named to the new position of executive vice president of distribution and manufacturing at Fred Meyer Inc. here. He reports to Robert G. Miller, president and chief executive officer of Fred Meyer.
Schnug's primary responsibilities include all distribution and commercial manufacturing plants operated by the various subsidiaries of Fred Meyer.
Schnug was group senior vice president of support operations for Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif. Ralphs recently merged with Fred Meyer.
