Fleming Promotes Spencer to VP
s. here has promoted Ron Spencer to the post of vice president, logistics, responsible for defining and implementing the company's overall distribution strategy and improving distribution performance across the company's 42 divisions. He replaces Tom Myers, who has left the company.
Spencer most recently served as director of customer service and distribution in Fleming's Oklahoma City division. He joined the company in 1983.
Previous positions include director of logistics and industrial engineering and director of re-engineering.
Richfood Names Kalita Senior VP
RICHMOND, Va. -- Richfood Holdings here has promoted John Kalita to the new position of senior vice president of warehouse operations for the Richfood-Virginia division. Kalita had most recently held the post of vice president of distribution and logistics for the division, and has been with the company since 1986.
