Weis Markets Adds VP Slot
Markets here has named Les Knox vice president of merchandising, a new position. Knox was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Abco Foods, Phoenix. He reports to both Robert Weis, chairman, and Norman Rich, president. Weis also named Dennis Curtin to the new post of director of public relations. Curtin, who formerly worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce, will also report to both Weis and Rich.
Certified Midwest Taps VP
HODGKINS, Ill. -- Certified Grocers Midwest here has named Larry A. "Buzz" Lindbo vice president of marketing and merchandising.
He succeeds James W. Risley, who left the company.
Lindbo most recently was vice president of perishables. He reports to Elwood F. Winn, president and chief executive officer.
