Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark., said it has named to its board pending shareholder approval John T. Chambers, president and chief executive officer, Cisco Systems, San Jose, Calif. Chambers succeeds John A. Cooper Jr., chairman, president and CEO, Cooper Communities, a Bella Vista, Ark.-based real estate development firm, who is retiring from the board.
