Knisley Exits Consumers Markets

Knisley, bakery-deli director for Consumers Markets here, has left the company. A successor has not yet been named, according to a company official.

Knisley assumed the position of bakery-deli director 15 months ago. Prior to that, he was bakery-deli supervisor for the company.

Consumers Markets operates 24 units in Missouri and Arkansas.

J.W. Allen Appoints New Chief Executive

WHEELING, Ill. -- J.W. Allen & Co. here has named J. William Allen Jr. chief executive officer.

With the company since 1981, Allen was elected president in 1987. He will continue in that role. As CEO, he succeeds John Allen, who had held that position since 1987. John Allen remains chairman of the board, a post he has held since 1964. In his new post, J. William Allen Jr. reports to the board of directors.

J.W. Allen & Co. is a manufacturer of mixes for cakes, doughnuts, breads and sweet goods, and fillings and icings, as well as frozen cakes.
