Del Monte Sales VP Moves On
ike Pereira has left his position as vice president of sales and marketing for Del Monte Fresh Produce here to pursue other business interests.
He was with Del Monte Fresh for eight years.
The company said a replacement for Pereira had not yet been named. A spokesman added that Del Monte may change the position as part of a restructuring.
PMA Taps Retail Programs Director
NEWARK, Del. -- Produce Marketing Association here has named Peter O'Neil director of retail programs. O'Neil replaces Mark Munger, who left the association to take a marketing position with Driscoll Strawberry Associates in Watsonville, Calif.
O'Neil is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of retail division programs, which include: the retail operations tour, the Annual Produce Conference, Produce Training Programs, Train the Trainer seminars and the association's member showcase at the Food Marketing Institute's Supermarket Industry Convention.
O'Neil reports to Terry Humfeld, vice president of division programs.
He was previously the assistant director for the National Association of Home Builder, Remodelers Council in Washington.
